Since there are so many reality shows on the air these days, the term reality star has started to have diminished value in some ways. After all, when there are thousands of reality stars at any given time, how many of them are really stars? However, someone like Rachel Reilly absolutely deserves to be called a reality star, if not a reality show icon. Fortunately for fans, she also wants to expand her television accomplishments soon.
In the past, Rachel has impressed people with her skills on shows like Big Brother, The Amazing Race, and The Traitors. Now, there has been a lot of talk about Rachel potentially expanding her resume by fighting to win arguably the greatest reality competition show ever, Survivor. However, someone very important revealed that Rachel will have to jump through hoops to get on Survivor.

Jeff Probst said Rachel Reilly has "got to apply" to compete on Survivor
When Jeff Probst attended the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards, he was interviewed by Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet. Even though the interviewer only had a very brief time with him, one of the questions that Jeff was asked about was focused on the potential of Rachel Reilly competing on Survivor.
After being asked about Rachel "completing the CBS reality show trifecta," since she's competed on Big Brother and The Amazing Race, Jeff laughed with a smile on his face. Then, Jeff was asked "What's it going to take" to get Rachel on Survivor. In response, Jeff instantly said that Rachel has to apply to be on Survivor, like anyone else would.
"Well, first she’s got to apply. She’s got to want it bad enough to send in a little two-minute video and say 'Here’s why I should be on.' There’s no secret passage way to getting on Survivor."Jeff Probst
Since it would be fascinating to see Rachel compete on Survivor, learning she doesn't have an inside angle to get on the show obviously is very disappointing. That said, anyone who feels crestfallen about Rachel's potential to get on Jeff's show should keep in mind what he said next.
"I think she's got a shot. Yeah."
Of course, I would like Rachel to have a lot more than "a shot" to get on Survivor. Instead, I wish that the show's casting team would listen to the multi-time former Survivor players who've advocated for Rachel to get on Jeff Probst's show. Not only that, I definitely think that Dr. Will Kirby should compete on Survivor. Why not have an all-Big Brother legends season of Survivor? Seasons like that have certainly worked for The Amazing Race. Maybe it is time for Survivor to learn from its fellow CBS reality show.
