Survivor 48 is back with a new episode and a new twist! After voting out Charity Nelms right before the merge in episode 6, there's another big twist during Survivor 48 episode 7, "Survivor Smack Talk." It sure looks like two players will be voted out in the new episode!
We also have a clips and sneak peeks to talk about, but first, let's talke about when and how you can watch the new episode!
Is Survivor on tonight?
Yes, Survivor is back for a new episode tonight! It's another 90-minute episode, so it's time to clear the schedule.
You can watch Survivor 48 episode 7, "Survivor Smack Talk," at 8 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. C on Wednesday, April 9 on CBS and Paramount+. Fans in the Western United States have to wait a little bit longer, but they can watch the episode beginning at 7 p.m. MT and 8 p.m. PT, as well.
You have to sign up for the Paramount+ with Showtime bundle in order to watch CBS and Survivor's new episode live, though. If you sign up for the other plan, you have to wait until Thursday morning until the episode is released on the streaming service.
Two players will be voted out in Survivor 48 episode 7

Thanks to the synopsis and a few hints from the Survivor social team, it looks like two players will be voted out in tonight's episode.
Take a look at the synopsis, via CBS:
"It’s double trouble when an unforeseen twist puts pressure on the castaways during the immunity challenge. Then, there’s nowhere to hide when a pivotal tribal council takes shape and decides who will make the jury, on SURVIVOR..."
There are a lot of hints there that something big is happening, but we've also been here before. Just two seasons ago in Survivor 46, two players were voted out right after the merge. That was done by splitting the players into two groups of six and separating them after the challenge. Each group voted one player out, so that's exactly what I'm expecting to happen tonight.
Could I be wrong? Sure, but it sure seems like Jeff Probst is passing out new buffs in the promotional images for this episode. In the trailers and sneak peeks, players are wearing different colors, so I have to imagine that is going to be the twist. And, it makes a lot of sense to really shake the game up right now.
Shauhin Davari looms large in Survivor 48 episode 7
So far, we've seen three clips from Survivor 48 episode 7, and two of them revolve around Shauhin Davari.
In the first sneak peek at the episode, Shauhin reveals the three players on the bottom of Survivor 48 so far. He also talks about how he could potentially unite those players and use them to make a move. He also reveals that he's in a position of control in the game.
At first glance, this seems like a good place to be for Shauhin. He's very charismatic. He has lots of connections, and it looks like he's going to go far in the game. He's one of the players who will win Survivor 48 if he can make it to the end.
Unfortunately, it looks like other players are starting to notice. Kamilla Karthigesu and Kyle Fraser, who are the other favorites in my opinion, are going to try to target Shauhin soon. Kamilla reveals that information in the Next Time on Survivor clip, which you can watch.
The other clip features Mitch Guerra, on the outs two Tribal Councils in a row, trying to find some footing in the game.
So, that's that! Watch Survivor 48 episode 7 tonight on CBS and Paramount+!
