The Survivor 50 finale is finally here! Tonight, Wednesday, May 20, tune in to CBS and Paramount+ to join in on the live viewing experience—which we haven’t had since 2019! The episode is titled, “Reverse the Curse,” which feels both ominous and foretelling, giving us a couple of predictions of what could happen and a few surprises Jeff Probst and the show have in store for the live event.
Going into the finale, we break down when you can watch in each time zone, take a look at this week’s sneak peek, and also name our top guesses for who’s taking home the Sole Survivor crown and $2 million.

Survivor 50 finale synopsis and what to expect
Last week was our fifth episode of the season where more than one person went home in a single episode, and the finale won’t be any different. Starting things out with our Final Five, one more player will be eliminated for sure followed by an up-in-air Final Four Tribal Council. This season, the fire-making challenge to determine who makes the Final Three was in the hands of the fans, so we will have to wait and see if two of our finalists are going up against each other for fire or if there will be two votes before Final Tribal Council.
So far, this week’s sneak peek shows a very excited Rizo Velovic—who defaults into the Final Four now as long as he plays his idol—and a very upset Tiffany Ervin who was just blindsided when everyone voted to send her closest ally Cirie Fields home.
CBS also shared the synopsis for the finale:
“Back from tribal, tensions rise following the exit of a particularly historic player. The final five immunity challenge ends in a showdown and features one of the closest finishes the show has ever seen. Jeff reveals the outcomes of the remaining in-game fan votes and how they impact the final stage of the competition. Then, one castaway will be crowned Sole Survivor and awarded the $2 million prize, during the three-hour live season finale, on SURVIVOR 50…”
With one of the closest immunity challenge finishes in the show’s history, we can’t help but think either Tiffany, Jonathan Young, or Joe Hunter earn the necklace at Final Five. If it’s Tiffany, that’s going to mess up a lot of plans as no one wants to go up against her in the end, similar to the unanimous vote against Rick Devens last week.

The final fan vote reveals of the season
In addition to the in-game voting result announcements of which challenge players will do to earn the last immunity necklace of the season, and whether or not there will be a Final Four fire-making duel, fans have been eagerly voting all week for their favorite player of the season who will receive $100,000 courtesy of Super Fan Sia.
Who has the best chance of winning?
Right now, it’s Tiffany and Aubry Bracco’s game to lose. While both women had a slow start per the edit, they have been the most socially active and move-dominant of the remaining five players. Rizo Velovic would be next in line as he’s been a quiet assassin all season, not unlike the way he played Survivor 49. But no one has watched that season yet and no one but Cirie and Ozzy Lusth know about his involvement in a lot of big moves—including getting them both sent to the jury.
Jonathan and Joe are currently most likely to find themselves in the Final Three, though depending on who wins immunity at five, that could be up for debate. However, I think it’s pretty clear that everyone left things they have the best chance of winning as long as these two are sitting at the end with them.
