We've been waiting for news aboutSurvivor 50,and finally, CBS,Jeff Probst, and theSurvivorteam finally shared some big news about the biggest season inSurvivorhistory.
While CBS didn't announce which returning players would be joining theSurvivor 50cast, the network did confirm, via apress release, whenSurvivor 50would premiere. And, it's exactly what we assumed would happen.
Survivor 50 premieres in February 2026
According to CBS,Survivor 50will premiere sometime in February 2026. Again, that's when fans like us were expecting the new season, but it's great that CBS has already confirmed the release month for what will likely be the most exciting season of the series in a long time.
Production for the new season begins this spring. There are still two seasons,Survivor 48andSurvivor 49,between now and theSurvivor 50premiere. For most of the new era ofSurvivor,we've seen the new seasons premiere in September and February, so it's no surprise thatSurvivor 50will premiere during the second month of the year next year. And, just to be clear, we should seeSurvivor 49sometime in the fall of 2025.
Most recently,Survivor 46also premiered on Feb. 28, 2024.Survivor 48obviously premieres on Wednesday, Feb. 26. It makes a lot of sense that we'll seeSurvivor 50,assuming it's the same number of episodes as the more recent seasons, during the last week of February in 2026. Looking ahead, the most likely premiere date is probably Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2026. Obviously, we're a full year away from then, so anything could change, but that's when we're expecting to seeSurvivor 50!
That wasn't the only big news that CBS announced aboutSurvivor 50,either. Jeff Probst and the gang confirmed thatSurvivor 50will also have a fan voting elementwhere, throughoutSurvivor 48,fans will be able to vote on key twists forSurvivor 50.
The first fan vote starts on Wednesday, Feb. 26 during the two-hour season premiere. We'll have more information about the live voting all season long!
Unfortunately, we still haven't heard who will be in theSurvivor 50cast yet. It doesn't seem like CBS is interested in having fans vote on who will be in the season, but it's possible. We'll just have to wait and see what happens!
For now, it's good news! We have a release month forSurvivor 50. We have a new season ofSurvivorjustdays away from the premiere. It's going to be an awesome couple of months.
