Will Jeff Probst be more involved in Survivor 51 than ever before?

Yet another Survivor 51 teaser video has been released that leaves us with more questions than answers.

CBS has beendeliveringtheSurvivor 51sneak peek content! And in their latest video posted to social media (below), we’re getting a little taste of hostJeff Probst’sopening speech to the players. But the way it’s being shared isveryinteresting…

Rather than simply sharing a sneak peek of the opening clip, we’ve gotten a small edit that features new footage from the first episode ofSurvivor 51and it hints that Jeff might be around for more than just challenges and Tribal Councils.

Watch here:

“History is no longer an indicator of what to anticipate next,” the video starts with a voiceover that appears to be either from his marooning speech to the castaways or from an opening sequence like he used to begin each season with, back in the day.

We even see clips of Jeff waiting on the beach and walking through the ocean rocks with a duffel bag—and not the same bag that was thrown out of the helicopter, seemingly with thetwo tribe buffsinside. So my question is…what’s in the bag, Jeff??

Considering we get a full text overlay that says, “Predict Nothing,” I might be clowning by trying to figure out so much ahead of the premiere, but why would they be dropping so many teasers if they didn’t want Super Fans like me to freak out over the possibilities?

And considering we’ve never seen Jeff Probst carrying, what looks like, a bag of personal items around the island, I can’t help but wonder if we’re going to see Jeff more immersed in castaways’ camp lives than ever before—similar to him participating in a challenge duringSurvivor 50.

Either that or we might have a bit of an “Island of the Idols” situation on our hands where Jeff will be meeting exiled players to test them for advantages (is that what’s in the bag, Jeff??) or offer them advice from his 26-year reign as the face ofSurvivor.

Because we also get a shot of Lewis Kelly looking either distraught or relieved on a beach of rocks, which could possibly hint at him being theodd member outon the yellow tribe that I previously predicted. If he gets sent to Exile Island—or something of the likes—before being able to join a tribe, will Jeff show up to offer him a play-for-advantage not unlike traditional journeys in the new era?

There’s so many possibilities as we enter the era of “Permanent Uncertainty” and I can’t wait to see what comes into play whenSurvivor 51premieres on Wednesday, September 23 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and Paramount+!
