Survivor Game Changers Episode 6: Immunity Challenge Shows Mana’s Advantage
If nothing else, the Immunity Challenge in Survivor Game Changers episode 6 showcased that the new Mana Tribe could be a force
The Immunity Challenge on Survivor Game Changers one week ago was the Debbie Wanner show. Feeling slighted by the rest of her then-Mana tribe, she was busy pointing out her accomplishments to start the challenge to Brad for the rest of the challenge. However, in Survivor Game Changers episode 6, she was off on a boat—ergh, Exile Island—with John Cochran. Meanwhile, two newly divided tribes were head-to-head in an exceptionally grueling challenge.
For the challenge entitled “Cargo Salvage,” there’s really nothing about it that didn’t seem relatively hellacious. After swimming and crossing monkey bars and swimming some more, players were then asked to lift pieces of a heavy barrel puzzle into a sled. They then had to drag that sled along a track onto the beach—and then drag the sled along wooden logs in the sand up a hill.
Yes, every bit of that sounds horrible from the comfort of your living room. After two weeks in the Fijian heat, it’s probably that much worse.
Mana absolutely dominated, this challenge, though. Even with Ozzy joining the new Nuku tribe, they were severely outmatched from the start and hadn’t even started their puzzle by the time that Mana had already breezed through it for the win.
Here’s a look at how things played out:
Whenever the new tribal divisions were revealed after the second swap, my immediate inclination was that the new Mana tribe was going to blow away new-Nuku. What we saw in the Immunity Challenge furthered that belief.

Outside of Ozzy, is there anyone that’s a real physical threat on Nuku right now? Tai is fine, but he’s no match for the likes of Sierra Dawn-Thomas or even Troyzan. The physical prowess of Mana in relation to Nuku is staggering right now. And no, replacing Sandra Diaz-Twine with Debbie on the new Nuku tribe isn’t an upgrade—no matter what Debbie might tell you.
The good news is for the members of Nuku is that this isn’t going to last much longer. We know from Sierra’s Legacy Advantage that there is some big event when there are only 13 players remaining. That’s only one vote away and could very well be the merge.
Until that point, though, things aren’t looking particularly favorable for this new Nuku tribe. Not only do they have Tai out in Tribal Council unnecessarily trying to make calculus out of 2-plus-2, but they also could be headed back to Tribal with if this latest Immunity Challenge is any indication. We shall see if that’s the form that things continue to hold.
