What did the player voted out in Survivor Game Changers episode 12 have to say about being booted and sent to the jury?
SPOILER WARNING: If you’ve yet to watch Survivor Game Changers episode 12, turn back now. There will be spoilers about the boot and more lying ahead.
It’s not uncommon in the game of Survivor for players to see their power dissipate right before their eyes. This is especially true once the merge occurs. With everyone left in the game able to converse and form new bonds, the power can shift. That’s been especially the case on Survivor Game Changers.
Since the merge, the power alliances have undeniably shifted in a major way, and most are all but gone. At the very least, they last potentially remaining one took a big hit on Survivor Game Changers episode 12 as Sierra Dawn-Thomas was voted off.
Back in the days of Mana, Sierra and Brad Culpepper seemed as if they were running the show on Survivor Game Changers. However, as new numbers have grown since the merge, they found themselves in a less enviable position. Even worse, Sierra was seemingly a little slow to realize that. And as she talked about her experience in her parting words, even she acknowledged that as she said that she played hard, but ultimately got a little too comfortable:
Admittedly, Sierra tried to make some moves in recent episodes. She attempted to reach out to Andrea and Cirie in episode 11 and tried to form a bond with Sarah in episode 12. However, there are two instances of her being too comfortable both prior to that and even in episode 12 that truly stand out.

The first came in the double-episode that featured the ninth and 10th boots of the season. As the episodes were entitled “There’s a New Sheriff In Town,” that was a line from Sierra (complete with finger guns, naturally). However, that showed the overinflated sense of comfort perfectly. Parts were moving all around her and her power was drifting away noticeably. Yet, she sat on a hammock laid back saying things like that. That’s never a good sign for longevity, especially with the strong gameplay that’s been going on.
However, the more pressing instance actually derived from episode 12 involves her reaching out to Sarah. Maybe it wasn’t as much a sense of comfort as it was a poor strategic move, but it was a mistake nonetheless for her to bring up the Legacy Advantage. Not only did Sierra say that she was in possession of it, but she told Sarah she’d give it to her if she was voted out.
Sarah has been the swing vote numerous times on Survivor Game Changers already. So to tell her that only increased the size of the target on Sierra. And though Sierra ultimately still left the advantage to Sarah, the latter helped make that happen by voting her out.
Though her level of play decreased throughout the season, though, Sierra displayed strong early gameplay and, had she remained on her toes, could’ve gone deeper into this game. Instead, she’s the fifth member of the jury.

Now what remains to be seen is if Brad and Troyzan from her former alliance ultimately end up joining her on the jury, or if they find a way to scramble and survive.
