We know at least one Survivor 47 player will return in Survivor 50!

Survivor 47 just ended, and everyone is wondering which Survivor 47 players we're going to see next!

We already know, thanks to Jeff Probst, that at least one player from Survivor 47 will be back for Survivor 50. That's the next season of Survivor that will feature returning players, and it's going to be really interesting to see which players the producers want to invite back for the biggest season of the series yet.

After watching all 14 episodes of Survivor 47, we picked the five players from this season who we'd love to see in Survivor 50!

Gabe Ortis

Loyal to the Soil
“Loyal to the Soil” – In a SURVIVOR first, castaways attempt a shocking negotiation for rice. Then, teams must have their head in the game during a tough reward challenge, on SURVIVOR, Wednesday, Nov. 20 (8:00-9:30 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on-demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on-demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the special airs)*. Jeff Probst serves as host and executive producer. Pictured (L-R):

Gabe Ortis is an easy pick to return for Survivor 50. In terms of being a fan of the game, a great communicator, and a good strategist, Gabe is as good as we have to choose from in Survivor 47. There is no doubt Gabe loves the game, and he's very entertaining. He isn't afraid to hold back, poke the bear, and try to get what he wants, which makes for great TV.

On top of that, he even told Jeff Probst he'd be back after his torch was snuffed! That was as good of a reaction to getting voted out as we saw this season. It makes for an incredible story.

Gabe told Jeff he'd be back. Now, what is he going to do differently to win Survivor 50? That's great TV!

Rome Cooney

Feel the FOMO
“Feel the FOMO” – The game is about to change when castaways drop their buffs and come together on the same beach. Castaways must find a hidden advantage to earn a huge lead in the challenge. Then, individual immunity is up for grabs for the first time this season, on SURVIVOR, Wednesday, Oct. 23 (8:00-9:30 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+* (live and on-demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on-demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day

Rome Cooney is the player who everyone thinks will be returning for Survivor 50. Is there any truth to the speculation? We just don't know right now.

As I've said before, Rome's enthusiasm for the game is second to none on this season. He shows how much he loves this game every time we see him. He's also a terrific narrator and gives great in-the-moment interviews. He's a story and presence that we don't often see in Survivor anymore.

In terms of strategy and gameplay, will Rome learn any lessons from playing this time? That's my only concern. Maybe he doesn't have to, but if we're looking for a player with a realistic chance to win Survivor 50, I don't know if Rome is that player.

Andy Rueda

Bob and Weave
“Bob and Weave” – It’s double the immunity challenges and double the tribal councils in part one of the two-part season 47 finale. Castaways must do damage control after Operation Italy’s success. Then, one castaway tries spying to get some key information to further their game, on SURVIVOR, Wednesday, Dec. 11 (8:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and available to stream on Paramount+ (live and on-demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on-demand for Paramount+

Andy Rueda is probably my favorite pick of the Survivor 47 cast to return for Survivor 50. Again, it's about the story. Over the season, Andy had the biggest evolution of anyone I can remember in Survivor history. He looked ready to go home on Day 1, and in some seasons, his reaction to losing the first immunity challenge probably would have been enough for him to be sent home. I don't remember a player needing medical on Day 1, and then throwing someone under the bus in front of everyone before. But, that's what Andy did.

Andy used that to his advantage, though, and he played his part of a clueless player perfectly. Meanwhile, he was playing an incredible game, setting up moves long before they happened, blindsiding multiple players after the merge, and more. I would love to see Andy get a chance to put everything together and win Survivor 50.

Genevieve Mushaluk

Bob and Weave
“Bob and Weave” – It’s double the immunity challenges and double the tribal councils in part one of the two-part season 47 finale. Castaways must do damage control after Operation Italy’s success. Then, one castaway tries spying to get some key information to further their game, on SURVIVOR, Wednesday, Dec. 11 (8:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and available to stream on Paramount+ (live and on-demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on-demand for Paramount+

In terms of strategic play, Genevieve and Rachel LaMont are the two top players of Survivor 47. I loved their awareness, the way they thought about the game, and how those things informed their decisions. Genevieve had a hand in taking out almost every big threat in Survivor 47. Obviously, she came up a little short because everyone realized at the same time that she was the biggest threat remaining, and she came up a few votes short of the Final Four.

So, I would love to see Genevieve return for Survivor 50. It just makes sense that she should be considered for the biggest season of the series yet. Would she do it? I'm not sure! Filming starts next year!

Anika Dhar

The Scales Be Tippin
“The Scales Be Tippin” – The fallout from tribal council leaves one castaway feeling like they are on the outs. During the reward challenge tribes must shoot their shot to land a win and earn an advantage, on SURVIVOR, Wednesday, Oct. 16 (8:00-9:30 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+* (live and on-demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on-demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs)*. Jeff Probst serves as host and

Last but not least, Anika Dhar is the other Survivor 47 player I would like a chance to return in Survivor 50. Anika seemed to have a great grasp of the strategic and social side of the game before getting blindsided. Anika learned a lesson that many Survivor players learn about keeping their guard up at all times, and I would like to see how those lessons learned would translate to the new season.

Plus, Anika was a great storyteller who thrived as a narrator. She wasn't in the game long, but her in-the-moment interviews were great! I think Survivor 50 is going to be full of players who are good storytellers. It's one of the things that makes the game so interesting.

Based on how people reacted to Anika's reaction to getting voted out, Anika could be on the short list of players to return.

So, those are the five players from Survivor 47 who we would love to see in Survivor 50!

Survivor 50 starts filming in 2025. It's coming to CBS and Paramount+ in early 2026, assuming everything goes according to plan. Stay tuned for more news about Survivor 50!
