We're only a few days away from theSurvivor 48premiere, "The Get to Know You Game," on Wednesday, Feb. 26, and CBS just shared the first moments of the new season as all18 new playershit the beach and meet withJeff Probst.
From this point on, the game officially begins! But, I think we all know this game has already begun. These players have been "sizing each other up," as new player Shauhin Davari says in an in-the-moment interview after the new players arrive at the beach.
CBS didn't share a long look atSurvivor 48.It's only a one-minute teaser, which is pretty but it's enough to get fans excited for the new season!
Watch the players hit the beach in the premiere ofSurvivor 48, via CBS:
"I've imagined playingSurvivorfor a very long time," Shauhin says. "Everybody is like a pack of wild dogs being held back by their leashes. We're all sizing each other up. And, it's like (growl), 'I'm going to eat your lunch.'"
Once everyone arrives at the beach and takes their spots on their tribe mats, Jeff welcomes all the new players to the game, and there's so much cheering. Clearly, these players are hyped up and ready to play the game. Even Jeff notes the palpable excitement.
"That might be the best initial reaction I've ever heard," Jeff tells the players.
It's always so great to watch the new players hit the beach for the first time. There's so much excitement, and for so many of them, if not all, this is the start of a dream come true. For the most part,Survivoris casting players who truly love the game these days. It's not just a cash grab, you know? They've dreamed of this moment, and they're finally there. It's always really cool to see that happen for people, even if it's about to turn into a nightmare (at times) for some of these players.
Based on the other clips we've seen, we know things are going to take a turn in a few short minutes once the first challenge gets underway. In thefirst look at the new season during theSurvivor 47finale, Jeff stops the first challenge, or so it appears, to bring in the medical team.
