We're officially four weeks away from the two-hour season premiere of Survivor 48 on Wednesday, Feb. 26. CBS just announced the full Survivor 48 cast and shared bios for all 18 new players, and we shared the latest information about all of the new players.
Honestly, the cast reveal was a little bit earlier than we were expecting. For Survivor 47, CBS announced the cast just two weeks before the season premiere date. Now, Survivor fans have a little bit longer to speculate about the season, find out more information about these players, and more.
Unsurprisingly, there are no changes from the cast leak on Reddit at the end of 2024 about the Survivor 48 cast, though we did get more information

Looking at the cast, there are a few clear takeaways worth mentioning that could definitely affect the game.
12 Survivor 48 players are in their 30s
Two-thirds of the Survivor 48 players are in their 30s! I don't know how that stacks up to some of the other seasons, but I feel like it's significant. Obviously, we've seen alliances with players of all ages, but it feels like players are drawn to players they can relate to. One of those ways is age. In Survivor, it appears everyone is looking for ways to relate to the other players and form bonds. I think being roughly the same age could be an advantage for some players.
I mean, look at Survivor 47 as an example. Jon Lovett, who was in his 40s, was voted out first because he was basically the oldest player on a tribe of 20 and 30-year-olds. Generational barriers can be challenging to overcome, especially when it seems like many players feel comfortable playing with other players who are close to the same age.
Almost half the cast lives in California
There are seven players from the Survivor 48 cast living in California, including Shauhin, Sai, Joe, Kamilla, David, Thomas, and Kevin.
Not all of the players living in California grew up there, but I have to assume that living in the same area could be an advantage. In the past, players have connected based on where they live, so that's something to watch throughout the season.
Of course, I know that California is a huge state, and the players do not necessarily live right next door to each other. I just think that shared experiences can definitely be used to bond in a show like Survivor. And, those bonds are basically everything in the game.
New York was the only other state where multiple players reside, but it's only Stephanie and Kyle who live in New York. All the other players reside in different states. So, that's something to watch, too!
So, that's the cast of Survivor 48! I have a feeling we're going to get to know this cast a lot better over the next few weeks leading up to the season premiere. We'll be sharing predictions and more news coverage about Survivor 48 soon. Stay tuned!
