We hope Survivor fans are ready for some more fan voting for Survivor 50! CBS rolls out four new categories on Wednesday, March 19, during the new episode of Survivor 48 episode 4, "The House Party's Over."

We don't know when exactly voting will begin, but it will likely begin during a commercial break or immediately after tonight's new episode. CBS announced the voting would be happening on the Survivor Instagram Stories on Tuesday, March 18.

According to a report from Entertainment Weekly, fans will be voting on three new categories:

  • Tribe swap or no tribe swap
  • Final Four immunity challenge
  • How much power the advantages will have

When voting begins tonight for the new round of the Survivor 50 fan voting, fans will have officially chosen seven key elements that will (or won't) happen in Survivor 50. In the first round of fan voting for Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans, fans selected tribe colors, to have a live reunion (or not), to give the players rice (or not), and the fire-making at the Final Three.

Overall, I don't have a lot of strong feelings about the tribe swap or lack thereof in Survivor 50. I'm just hoping for an entertaining season, so whatever brings the most drama is what I'm in favor of. The only thing that I'm not really interested in is the more powerful advantages. I really hope, for the sake of the game, that we stop focusing so much on the advantages and have things play out a little more naturally.

Coincidentally (or not), there will also be a big tribe swap in Survivor 48 during episode 4! The Vula tribe has been outplayed all season long so far, so Jeff Probst and the gang are switching up the tribes. It's going to be really interesting to see how it plays out. Obviously, some players will probably end up in better spots than others.

Those seven key elements aren't even everything we'll be voting on for Survivor 50. There are more rounds of fan voting that will be happening throughout Survivor 48 before filming begins later this year, likely in the late spring or early summer. Survivor 49 films first, but that season should begin sometime in May with Survivor 50 coming shortly after.

We'll share more about the Survivor 50 fan voting as we find out! Stay tuned!
