Okay, people. This is not a drill! It’s officially go-time for the moment I’ve been waiting for this entire season. Aubry Bracco is about to start Aubry-ing in episode 9 of Survivor 50, “I Deserve All of This,” and we are about to start seeing a true display of what she’s capable of in this game.
As the aftermath of the combined double elimination continues to unfold, a new sneak peek shows that Aubry is not letting that game shake-up settle before she begins making moves. And in true Aubry fashion—as we’ve seen her do so many times before—she uses her strategic social game to bond with the player on the outs. Check it out below!
In the clip, we see Aubry explaining to Jonathan Young—whose whole game basically blew up last week—that she’s not tied to Rick Devens by any means and actually prefers not to work with the “brains” like how she was categorized on her original season, Survivor: Koah Rong. Jonathan, who is likely feeling on the outs and vulnerable, unknowingly lets Aubry unleash her superpower on him: the ability to connect with the person who needs people the most and make him feel like she wants to do what he wants to do. Brilliant!
I’ve been a fan of Aubry’s game since the beginning of her Survivor run, so to see her step into the spotlight in the next episode is both exciting and nerve-wracking for me. As she amps up for a big move, historically, we know this means she’s getting the edit attention either because she’s about to pull off something big or because she’s about to go home in a blaze of glory.

But considering how Aubry’s navigated the game so far—adapting as needed to fit her tribe and the people around her—she’s already evolved multiple times throughout this season alone, and we’ve seen her beat out one big adversary because of the relationships she made. Who’s to say she won’t do it again? Especially considering her latest iteration of gameplay seems to be a foil to fan favorite Cirie Fields. While Cirie has been crafting a masterful social game publicly, Aubry seems to be building stealth relationships (not until Kamilla Karthigesu did in Survivor 48).
Does this mean we might see Aubry and Cirie come to a head-to-head much like I anticipate we’ll see Ozzy Lusth and Rizo Velovic do at some point? As much as I hate to say it, the season is coming to a close fairly soon and we’re about to see some major explosions coming out of Tribal Council. Last week was only the beginning.
