It is, indeed, a good time to be a Survivor fan. With Survivor 49 heading towards its endgame and Survivor 50 looming on the horizon, it's exciting to think about all the Survivor content we will be receiving in the upcoming weeks.

Additionally, Survivor won't be limited to our screens only. Lately, there's been an exciting trend of former Survivor players, and even the show's host, Jeff Probst, writing about their experiences on the show.

From memoirs, fiction, and everything in between, there are several Survivor-related books that any fan shouldn't miss. Here's a list of upcoming books in release order:

Escape! : A Novel by Stephen Fishbach

Stephen Fishbach is one of the most well-remembered players from the Golden Era, as he was one of the savviest propellers for the evolution of the Survivor strategy we all know and love today. Alongside his partner-in-crime, J.T. Thomas and close ally Taj Johnson-George, Fishbach completely dominated Survivor: Tocantins, and all three reached the Final Four of the season.

Fishbach, unfortunately, lost the title of sole Survivor to J.T. after a lackluster performance at the end, but still consolidated himself as one of the most strategic players the game had ever seen. Fishbach returned for a second chance in Survivor: Cambodia, where he once again showed his Survivor knowledge but was eliminated in ninth place.

Since his Survivor double stint, Fishbach has remained an integral member of the Survivor community, writing about and podcasting frequently about the latest episodes. But now, we are finally approaching the date for the release of his debut book, Escape!: A Novel, which is a fictionalized tale of his experiences.

The premise of his book is as follows: "A propulsive debut novel following a has-been reality TV star and a disgraced producer who get one last shot at redemption on a show set on a remote island, only to discover that the plot twists are beyond what they ever imagined."

Survivor: Forged by Fire by Jeff Probst

We all know who Jeff Probst is. Long-time host, executive producer, podcaster, and sometimes uncle, Probst has dedicated most of his life to the endurance of our favorite show. From Borneo, he has demonstrated his love and passion for the show, and while the results have been varied, no one can deny that Probst and Survivor go hand in hand.

Probst has previously written several Survivor-related books, including the fiction Stranded series, the Stranded: Shadow Island series, and others. However, this new upcoming book will be quite different to his previous written work.

Survivor: Forged by Fire will be a book celebrating the past 50 seasons of Survivor. According to Probst, this book will include hundreds of never-before-seen photos of the past 25 years of the show and is a must-have for anyone who has been part of this journey, whether as a former player or as an avid fan.

Expected publication date: February 24, 2026

The Tribe and I Have Spoken: The Definitive (Unofficial) Lore and Legacy from the Game's Smartest Surviving Loser by Rob Cesternino

When Rob Cesternino first played Survivor back in Survivor: The Amazon, he was definitely ahead of his time. While everyone else was playing the battle of the sexes or still trying to figure out how to make a fire, Cesternino was running laps around them by creating multiple alliances, making multiple-layered deals, and all while also giving golden confessionals to the audience about his true intentions and feelings towards his fellow castmates.

After losing the final three individual immunity challenges, Cesternino was voted out by the eventual season winner, Jenna Morasca, and proceeded to the jury as its final member. The following season, Cesternino returned for Survivor: All-Stars, where everyone knew of his reputation and was promptly voted out third before he could do much damage.

Despite not having won, Cesternino is still regarded as one of the Survivor strategy pioneers and one of the best never to win. In the years that followed, Cesternino began to build what is now a massive community of podcasters, reviewers, and fans, as his project turned into a business known as Rob Has a Podcast, or, for short, RHAP.

Covering multiple reality shows, including, of course, Survivor, RHAP has amassed a loyal following across social media and has a grand group of podcasters who each week share their strategy reviews of our favourite shows. Hundreds of people across the internet have now followed these footsteps, but one of the pioneers of what we now know as podcasting is none other than Cesternino himself.

In 2026, Cesternino will venture into the book world with his latest project called The Tribe and I Have Spoken: The Definitive (Unofficial) Lore and Legacy from the Game's Smartest Surviving Loser. According to its premise, this book is "a must-read celebration for anyone who counts themselves as part of this passionate tribe of fans from around the world."

In addition, Cesternino describes this book as "a love letter to the show that has given me everything" and will celebrate the long-running reality series. The book will also include illustrations marking the show's milestones.

Don't forget about these other Survivor books either!

Parvati Shallow's memoir, called "Nice Girls Don't Win: How I Burned It All Down to Claim My Power," was published on July 8, 2025. Shallow, a two-time winner of Survivor and Australian Survivor, reclaims her life's narrative in this powerful book where she shares intimate details about her life before, during, and after the show.

As someone who has read and loved the book, I cannot recommend it enough, especially to those who are fans of the show, especially of Shallow herself. Plus, the book is a well-written, impactful story of a smart, independent, strategic, and charming-as-all-hell woman who is so much more than meets the eye.

Also, this past summer, two-time Survivor player Erik Reichenbach and Survivor 47 player Katurah Topps revealed in various interviews that they were each working on their memoirs. While neither has a title or an official release date yet, it is essential to keep an eye out for further updates.

Lastly, RHAP member and well-known Big Brother connoisseur Taran Armstrong has just released his first novel, "Behind the Mirror: Inside the World of Big Brother". In his book, Armstrong details how Big Brother, and by extension Survivor and RHAP, have transformed his life for the better, as they were pivotal to him growing up and have now become his life's work so far. While the book is mainly centred around BB, Armstrong does mention Survivor quite a few times, so it's definitely a must if you're a fan of either show.
