Survivor 50 has already finished filming out in Fiji, but we're still hung up on the Survivor 50 cast. As it turns out, we're not alone! Even Survivor legends like two-time Survivor winner Sandra Diaz-Twine are still talking about the cast of the upcoming 50th season of the hit CBS series.
On a recent appearance on the Island Talk podcast, Sandra shared the three Survivor players she wanted to see return for Survivor 50. The three names she shared were Carolyn Wiger, Abi-Maria Gomes, and Jerri Manthey.
"Who I wish would have been out there? Carolyn," Sandra said on the Podcast. "But that's because she talks to me about it every single day, so I wish she would have been out there. How can they not have her? How dare they? Maybe, there's going be a season 21 because they had so many great people that didn't make the cut."
"Jerri would have been great. Abi would have been great. I have so many friends, near and dear to my heart, that I would have loved to see out there."

It makes a lot of sense why Sandra, and everyone, honestly, wants to see these three players. It sounds like all three of the players mentioned were in discussions about Survivor 50 until the very end. Jerri seemed like a lock throughout the entire process from the outside looking in, but she ultimately didn't make it.
Carolyn is one of the most popular players of the new era. She did just appear on The Traitors, so it would seem like she'd be a great candidate to bring some new fans into the mix for Survivor 50. She's an incredible reality TV personality, so I really hope we haven't seen the last of her on Survivor!
We already know this is the end of the road for Jerri's Survivor journey. She said as much immediately after the Survivor 50 cast was announced in May 2025. It's definitely a bummer that Jerri didn't get the chance to return. It would have been great to see how she played after being labeled one of the show's first real villains way back in the day.
As for Abi-Maria, we have to wonder if this is the end of the road for her, too. I would have loved to see her. She's been a catalyst for drama, chaos, and intrigue every time she played. Would she bring that energy to Survivor 50? Or, would she have played a little more chill all these years later? We won't know for Survivor 50, but it's definitely possible she could return in the future.
Ultimately, I don't think Survivor 50 is the last time we'll see returning players, so hopefully, that means there will be chances for Abi-Maria and Carolyn to play Survivor again in the future. I don't think it will be as early as Survivor 51 as Sandra mentions, but hey, I wouldn't be opposed!
Stay tuned for more news about Survivor 50! Up first, we obviously have Survivor 49, which premieres on CBS and Paramount+ on Wednesday, Sept. 24.
