Star Toomey shared some pointed thoughts about strategy after getting voted out of Survivor 48 in episode 10, which was fittingly titled "My Enemies Are Plottin'" after Star's iconic rap during the episode.

In an exit interview with Dalton Ross of Entertainment Weekly, Star opened up about why everyone balked at making a big move against the majority alliance.

Here's what Star had to say about the non-move:

"People who unfortunately are too scared to really play the game and they just want to be safe. Last time I checked, being safe never helped. Yeah, it might last you an extra day, but we're talking about a million dollars. I never heard anyone get a million dollars by playing it safe. I know I didn't get the million dollars, but at least I can say I never played it safe."

After David Kinne was voted out in Survivor 48 episode 9, the numbers seemed to shift in favor of those outside of the majority alliance. For the first time since the merge, the players outside of the alliance would have, potentially, equal standing in the game. Of the eight players remaining, four were in the alliance, and there were four players left out in Survivor 48.

Star, along with Mitch Guerra, Mary Zheng, and Kamilla Karthigesu, had the potential to pull off a big move. After Joe Hunter won immunity for the third time this season, the semblance of a plan went out the window, and the non-allies alliance fell apart before it even started.

Unfortunately, I feel like Star is right about this. Ultimately, only one person is going to win, and it's going to take a big move to make that happen. Right now, it feels like the players are just marching along with Joe as he wins every challenge on the way to $1 million. I know that's not going to happen, but that's how it feels watching this season.

Now, was this the time to make the move? For someone like Star or Mary, the answer is obvious. Even for Mitch, it feels like things might have just passed him by in the game.

For the other five players, including Kamilla and Kyle, this was definitely not the right time to make a big move, especially if you don't trust that Mary, Star, and Mitch will actually have your back at the end. Sure, you could take a chance, vote out Eva Erickson or Shauhin Davari, but what does that accomplish? It evens the playing field for now, but in the next vote, a majority could form against you. So, while I agree with Star, it makes a lot of sense for Kamilla, Kyle, and even Mitch to hold out for one more vote, make sure you have a solid four to go against their three. Now, you have the actual power in the game.

Is that going to happen? Probably not! My fear is that, with David and Star's exit interviews, that this majority alliance is just going to stay rock solid until the very end of the game.

We'll see! There are only three episodes of Survivor 48 left, and it's going to be really interesting to see how it all plays out.
