Survivor 47 episode 6 preview, time, and what to expect: Feel the FOMO

Big changes are coming to Survivor 47 in episode 6, "Feel the FOMO." We've seen a few previews and clips from the new episode, and it's the moment these castaways have been waiting for.

What time is Survivor 47 episode 6?

Survivor 47 episode 6, "Feel the FOMO," airs at 8 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. C on Wednesday, Oct. 23, on CBS and Paramount+. As usual, the West Coast viewers will tune in at 8 p.m. PT for when the new episode airs. I always remind fans to watch out for spoilers. All those recaps go up as soon as the East Coasting airing finishes.

You can also watch new episodes of Survivor 47 on Paramount+ in addition to CBS, but you have to subscriber to the Paramount+ with Showtime plan. With the regular Paramount+, you actually have to wait untilt he following morning to watch new episodes of Survivor 47.

Survivor 47 episode 6 preview and sneak peek

In the Next Time on Survivor preview, "the game is about to change" That's what Rachel LaMont reads to the Gata tribe in the first clip of the episode preview, which aired at the end of episode 5.

Then, we see all of the tribes celebrating! They've officially made it through the tribes competing against other tribes phase of Survivor 47. We're moving on to the merge or pre-merge. It's unclear if we're heading straight into the merge or if they'll do the new era of Survivor thing where they haven't established the new tribe yet.

In a montage, we see the rest of the players laughing and having a good time, for the most part. It appears they are excited they made it this far in the game. It's officially new life!

There are a few moments that stand out. We see Sol Yi talking to Kyle Ostwald, and it sounds like Kyle says, "What a d***," about someone. Another player says, "I'm fixin' to squish him like a bug."

Then, we cut to Rome Cooney saying, "I'm going to feast on Sol's bones. I'm on Survivor, baby!"

The final shot of the preview is Andy saying, "This is fun as hell!"

What is going on in Survivor 47 episode 6? We don't quite know yet, but it looks like it's going to be fun!

In the episode 6 sneak peek, which was shared via Paramount Press, Rachel LaMont reacts to the stunning blindside of Anika Dhar.

"It felt like a big betrayal, and it's not a good reality to be at the bottom of the tribe, especially when you consider, like, wow, I really thought Andy was at the bottom of the tribe for the last week," Rachel said in the clip. "And, somehow, I am the person at the bottom of the tribe."

We also got to see Sam Phalen explain why he didn't use the hidden immunity idol at tribal council. He was worried that Andy, who didn't know Sam had the idol, would not trust him anymore if Sam revealed that he'd had the idol that Andy was looking for.

What to expect in Survivor 47 episode 6

Here's the synopsis for Survivor 47 episode 6, via CBS:

"The game is about to change when castaways drop their buffs and come together on the same beach. Castaways must find a hidden advantage to earn a huge lead in the challenge. Then, individual immunity is up for grabs for the first time this season..."

Well, the big news is obviously the tribes are coming together to compete in the individual challenges on Survivor. As mentioned, it's still unclear if we're heading directly into the merge or if we'll see the tribe without a name and the players trying to earn their place in the merge.

I have a feeling that we'll have every player competing for individual immunity and each player voting to eliminate one player. In Survivor 46 episode 6, we saw the tribes come together and compete in two groups. The winning group was safe while the losers voted out one player (Moriah Gaynor).

Then, in episode 7, the tribes competed for individual immunity for the first time in two groups. It will be interesting to see how Survivor 47 is different, but it seems pretty clear that it will be.

Reading into the episode preview, there are some interesting clips that likely foreshadow what's to come. Rome and Sol seem to be back as enemies in the new episode. Andy is also featured prominently, along with Sam. I'm expecting one of those four players to be targeted and eliminated in the new episode.

I also expect several players who felt like they were on the bottom to have a new lease on life in the game, including Rachel, Teeny Chirichillo, and possibly even Sol.
