We’re more than halfway through 2026, but with the Emmy Awards coming up, lots of people are already naming their favorite TV moments from the year—so far—and many of the most talked about are pulled straight from Survivor 50

Over at TV Line, they even put together a list of the 10 best episodes of television that have aired this year. And no surprise, one of our favorite moments from Survivor 50 was on the list beside other incredibly popular and award-winning shows like The Pitt, NCIS, and Hacks

Because next to all the fantastic scripted and unscripted television that’s been hitting screens in 2026, episode 10, “A Side Dish of Chaos,” was featured just as prominently.

For anyone who needs a reminder, episode 10 was the Survivor auction episode where the MrBeast Super Beware Advantage was introduced. On top of the chaotic social and strategic mess the—initially unknown—twist introduced, the episode ended with fan favorite Rick Devens flipping a coin to either get immunity and increase the prize money to $2 million, or seal his fate and remove him from the game immediately.

Out of everything that happened on Survivor 50, this was definitely the episode that had fans watching at home on the edge of their seats with nervous anticipation and hope that Devens could pull off the once-in-a-lifetime shot. Because if anyone could, it would be him.

TV Line’s Nick Caruso explains, “Season 50’s celebrity cameos were the most polarizing elements of the celebratory season, but when MrBeast showed up with a Super Beware Advantage, our interest was certainly piqued.”

While the episode as a whole—the auction leading right into the challenge leading right back to a dynamic camp strategy shuffle—was peak cinema, the introduction of the Super Beware Advantage was definitely the icing on top of a fantastic 90 minutes of Survivor. Because, as noted above, it was a tumultuous season of celebrity cameos from Billie Eilish’s seemingly useless idol to Jimmy Fallon’s worst twist in Survivor history on top of Zac Brown’s random reward appearance and 30 minute confessional.

“Tense, shocking, and just dang fun,” Caruso continues, “the MrBeast twist will forever go down as one of the game’s biggest and bravest moments ever.”

And fans agree, it wasn’t just a great moment for the new era, but looking back across all 25 years of Survivor, MrBeast’s twist definitely left a permanent mark in the history books.
