Survivor: Game Changers’ Sierra Dawn-Thomas didn’t reveal many of her ideal alliance mates, but she did float an idea that has us intrigued.

The perfect Survivor casting for a returnee season may not exist. Although we know these people only as TV personalities, they do have actual lives, and they can’t always set them aside to go spend over a month somewhere else. As a result, it’s tough not to say “huh” to at least one or two members of any returnee cast.

We’ll admit that Sierra Dawn-Thomas is a bit of a “huh” in a season dubbed Game Changers. However, speaking to Entertainment Weekly, she ended up having some very interesting ideas for how she might approach the game.

When asked about her plans for an alliance, she didn’t give a list of names. In fact, she only mentioned Troyzan Robertson explicitly, telling Dalton Ross that she works better with men. Then, though, she said that she had the idea of the women in the game working together.

She even alluded to the infamous Black Widow Brigade from Survivor Micronesia as an example. Incidentally, one of the key members of that alliance, Cirie Fields, will return this season.

Let’s start with Troyzan and the guys. Based on the initial tribe divisions, Sierra will find herself on the Nuku tribe, and Troyzan will be on Mana. So he’s out. However, Nuku does have players like J.T. Thomas, which may not be a bad choice for her.

Heading back to the ladies’ alliance idea, though, both Andrea Boehlke and Cirie will start on Nuku. In our cast assessment for Andrea, we pointed out that Sierra might make a good fit as an alliance mate. Add in Cirie, possibly, and that’s a powerful triad, although Cirie herself has said she may want to prefer to work with others instead.

Then again, the game makes for some strange bedfellows. Andrea, Cirie, and Sierra might end up creating that all-girls’ alliance after all to start things off.
