We have two new sneak peeks at Survivor 47 episode 9 from CBS ahead of "Nightmare Fuel," the new episode of Survivor on Wednesday, Nov. 13.

Based on what we've seen so far, Gabe Ortis and the former Tuku players might actually be in trouble in episode 9. We thought things looked a little rough for the Tuku players after episode 7 when they had to vote out one of their own in Tiyana Hallums. Now, there's definitely been talk of taking out Gabe. That's the first sneak peek.

In the other clip from episode 9, we see Rachel LaMont and Andy Rueda, two former Gata members, talking and trying to form a connection to agree to work together after Sierra Wright was voted out in episode 8.

Let's start there!

Andy and Rachel try to work together

After voting out Sierra Wright and breaking up her alliance with Sam Phalen, Andy is looking for new allies. Clearly, he worked with the former Tuku and Lavo members, who came together to target the Sierra-Sam alliance. Rachel was on the outside of that vote. She might have a partnership in the works with Sol Yi after he saved her with the Safety Without Power advantage in episode 7. Andy has already worked with Sol after they connected following the first post-merge vote.

"Throughout the game, I've definitely broken trust with Rachel, but I do like her," Andy said in an interview. "I feel like we have chemistry. We definitely have game chemistry out here."

Until this point in the game, Andy and Rachel have had conflicting interests after their first few days on the Gata tribe. Rachel wanted to keep Andy around as a safe person to vote out, but she was much more closely allied with Anika Dhar and Sierra. Now, they need each other if they're going to navigate the remainder of the game and get close to the end. Neither have solid numbers or alliances moving forward. It definitely makes sense to work together, but I don't think Rachel fully trusts the way Andy plays. He's chaotic, and while he has shown some strategic acumen, it's unclear if he would burn her immediately if the opportunity came up. We'll see how this goes!

Sol is targeting Gabe in the next vote

In the next clip, we see Sam talking with Sol, Genevieve Mushaluk, and Teeny Chirichillo, the three former Lavo members. Sam begins the clip by walking through the logic behind targeting him and Sierra with the last vote. He tells the trio he has no hard feelings about anything, and he seems very interested in working together.

"I was a part of that blindside against Sam, but I like Sam's mentality," Sol said in an interview. "He's not getting emotional. He's not getting pissed."

Sol seems open to working with Sam, based on his mentality after Sierra was voted out. And, it seems like that Sam already has a name in mind. In the clip, Sam brings up Gabe's name and mentions how close he is with Sue Smey and Caroline Vidmar.

"Even though I worked with Gabe to last night to take out Sierra, I think that dude's a player," Sol said. "At some point we need to get out Gabe, and that's what I'm trying to do."

Well, it sure looks like the target is shifting to Gabe in the new episode. Will it stick? We'll have to wait and see.

We do know that Sue has an idol, and Gabe and Caroline have been her people all season. Will they stick together? Would she play an idol for Gabe?

Gabe is one of the most underrated players in Survivor right now. He could definitely win if he gets to the end!

The fact that Survivor showed this scene in a sneak peek makes me think that Gabe is probably safe for this episode. We've seen misdirections like this in sneak peeks earlier this season. This time, though, it feels different to me. It makes too much sense not to target Gabe, Caroline, and Sue.

We'll have to wait and see what happens, but it looks like Gabe might be in trouble in Survivor 47 episode 9.

Watch Survivor 47 episode 9, "Nightmare Fuel," on Wednesday, Nov. 13, on CBS and Paramount+.
