Following the vote that saw Sierra Wright being the first person on the jury for Survivor 47 in episode 8, the tribe is back at the beach going over what happened in the first scene of Survivor 47 episode 9, "Nightmare Fuel."

For Sam Phalen and Rachel LaMont, it was a chance to reconnect over the loss of their former tribe mate and the betrayal of the rest of the tribe. For everyone else, it was a bit of a congratulatory moment, as they got to celebrate getting out a strong player and working as a team to make it happen.

The morning after the vote, Rachel and Andy Rueda have a sit-down and try to come back on the same page. And while it seems like they may be trying to find a common ground to work together, there is also this small sense of doubt that perhaps this is all a ruse. After all, since this season began, they have struggled to be on the same page with each other.

After a morning chatting, tree mail arrives letting the tribe know that they have to divide into pairs. However, only one person is going to end up with immunity. And in the splitting up of the tribe, Sam immediately takes Andy. Then, we have Gabe Ortis and Kyle Ostwald as partners, with Gabe thinking this could work out well for him, while Kyle thinks he can beat the other man in a head-to-head.

The Immunity Challenge

The other pairs for this challenge are Sue Smey and Genevieve Mushaluk, Rachel and Caroline Vidmar, and Teeny Chirichillo and Sol Yi. And this challenge is going to be run in stages with them crawling through a sand tunnel to dig up a puzzle step, and then there is another puzzle step that needs to be dug up. The last two pairs in this challenge are out and don't move on to the next phase of the challenge.

The second phase of the challenge sees the duos building with those puzzle stages, with the last pair out before the final stage, which will see the pairs broken up for a solo challenge. Now, they must use the puzzle steps to build steps to climb up and get to the top of the tower and cross a small beam.

The final phase sees the players standing on small footholds in a frame that they will slowly have to move down, as the small footholds get smaller and harder. If they fall in the transition they are out and if they fall at any point they are out.

The final two pairs will win a picnic, and the final person standing gets and immunity. And the first pair out loses their vote at tribal and has to take a journey with a chance to win back their vote.

Kyle and Gabe end up as the first pair to move on, with Sol and Teeny behind them. Finally Genevieve and Sue move on, while both Sam and Andy and Rachel and Caroline are out and have all lost their votes (for now).

Sue and Genevieve have been in the lead for most of this second phase, but Sol and Teeny are right behind them. Kyle and Gabe struggle but catch up and end up rushing to the finish with Sol and Teeny on their heels. With a lead almost the whole time, Sue and Genevieve end up getting knocked out and not making it to the immunity challenge.

After moving down to the third foothold, we really start to see the Survivor players struggling with the pain. And yet, it seems like everyone is able to make it work, until the final moments when both Teeny and Sol fall and the same time right before transitioning down to the final step. After a short time on the final foothold, Kyle ends up falling, and Gabe wins the individual immunity.

The four who finished last in the first phase are sent out on their journey with a chance to get their vote back, while the rest of the tribe goes back to the beach, and the four players who made it the individual portion of the challenge get a picnic reward.

After the challenge

Sol, Teeny, Kyle, and Gabe head back to the beach where their food is waiting for them. For Sue and Genevieve, the return to the beach comes without food and a reward. During their reward, they start talking about who to vote out. And Sam is the name that pops up during the talk. While Genevieve and Sue are on their own, they throw out the idea of putting the vote on Sol.

On the journey, the four players come upon a sign that reveals that they will compete against each other and only three people will get back their vote.

After the reward winners come back, Sol brings up voting against Sam. But, Genevieve and Gabe take a walk, and she tells him that Sol and Teeny were throwing his name out and that they should take out Sol. This leads to them talking to Kyle and pitching Sol, and he is here for it as long as it keeps him safe.

The journey players must build a triangle tower one metal card at a time. If the tower falls during a player's turn, they lose and do not get their vote back. In the end, it is Caroline who lost her vote, after an epic build that sees them get the tower shockingly tall.

After finishing their journey challenge, the four players have their own chat about who they want to see go home. And for them, they are thinking it has to be Kyle since this is the first time they have even had a chance to go after him.

Back at the Beka beach, they want to go after Sol, but Sam doesn't want that to happen. So he tells Sol that they are going after him. Sol goes to Teeny and tells her we have to vote for Sue. Teeny decides to talk to Genevieve and Sam tells Andy they should blow things up and go after Sue. And now the name on the chopping block is Kyle.

Tribal Council

After a wild afternoon on the Beka beach and at least four names on the chopping block, it is anyone's game at this point.

While Jeff is asking questions and Kyle is asking them, conversations are still happening, with Sol throwing out Sue's name again and she questions him about it. She thinks it was supposed to be Kyle. In the background, Teeny whispers to Sam that she thinks something feels weird. And while Caroline talks about losing her vote, Sam asks Andy who he is voting for.

Honestly, this entire tribal is a mess. There are all of these little conversations happening in the midst of the tribal, and no one has a clue what is really happening. And honestly, it doesn't seem like anyone is really good at this point. So, who is going to end up joining Sierra on the jury?

Sol Yi is the ninth player voted out of Survivor 47

After a wild and chaotic tribal council, votes went towards both Sol and Sue. Unfortunately for Sol, he ended up with the most votes.

For Teeny, it was clear that this was a heartbreaking choice, but it is obvious that she went with the rest of the tribe and voted out her ally. It should be interesting to see how things play out back at the Beka beach and now that Sol is gone.
